HOW DOES THE RANKINGS SYSTEM WORK?
Your level is ranked according to 6 categories: beginner, amateur, advanced, professional, expert or master. You begin with a status of a beginner, having 0 points on your rankings account. However, you have the opportunity to move up the ladder and become a master. Overall, a higher rank indicates a higher skill level, more privileges and advantages. Higher rankings allow you to enter exclusive online billiards tournaments, play in elite billiards rooms and enjoy fame and glory. You will have the opportunity to receive special accessories, such as custom-made cues, unique balls and other fun stuff. It is good to be a higher ranked player: more respect, more opportunities and more challenges.

HOW DO WE CALCULATE YOUR RANKINGS?
It is very simple! You start off with 0 points in your rankings account. Once you win, you gain ranking points. However, after a defeat, a certain number of points will be deducted from your ranking account. How many points you win each game depends solely on your ranking and the ranking of your opponent. If you rank high while your opponent ranks low, and you win, you will only score a small amount of points. If you rank low while your opponent ranks high, and you win, a large amount of points are added to your account. The same is true if you lose. So, basically how fast you move up the rankings ladder depends on 2 things: your win/loss record; and your rankings relative to the rankings of your opponents. Once you have accumulated certain amount of points in your ranking account and you pass certain thresholds you are promoted to different ranks. If you want to move up fast you have to win a lot, and play against better players then you. However you can also move up the ladder by playing with players of the same level as you but the rankings will improve more gradually.
